Lab Operation
- Lab is complementary to the classroom teaching.
- Lab emphasizes on practical hands-on experience.
- Lab material is available online 24/7:
CS301 Lab Material.
- Please read the corresponding lab material before coming to the lab.
- Come to your scheduled lab section. We will take attendance.
- Lab instructor will give about 20 to 40 minutes pre-lab talk/conference
to highlight or demonstrate the major points at the beginning of each lab session.
And answer your questions about the lab.
- You are expected to read on your own and watch the tutorial videos to become aware of all of the details given in the online lab notes.
Lab Schedule and Help
Lab Marking
- We will take attendance every lab. The attendance mark will be given under lab Instructor's discretion.
- The mark and the weight for each lab assignment can be different.
- The lab mark will be 15% of your class mark this semester.
- You are expected to do your lab assignments independantly. The marker will mark it.
- You are responsible for what you hand in.
If any copying from other sources is identified,
it will be reported to the Associate Dean (Academic) at the Faculty of Science.
- Students will hand in their lab assignments before the due time in URCourses.

- You need to include the following information in your assignmet submission,
student name, student number, lab section number, lab number and lab topic.
- You will lose mark for late submissions. The marker will check your submission time. We will not accept any assignments after its cut off time.
- If legitimate reasons are provided, late submission maybe accepted under your lab instructor's discretion.
